Mazda3 i-stop Presented in Geneva



Mazda3 i-stop has been presented by Mazda in Geneva, following the previous Mazda3 i-stop press release that was announced last month. Powered by the inline four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve MZR 2.0-litre DISI petrol engine, Mazda3 i-stop may outputs 111 kW/151 PS at 6,200 rpm and 191 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm.

Mazda3 i-stop comes equipped with idle-stop system that uses combustion energy for restart which called i-stop by the company. Mazda3 i-stop is estimated has the ability to restart in 0.35 seconds, which is half the time compared with the other systems’ restart on the market.

Mazda3 i-stop also offers 14% fuel savings in a combined cycle with the i-stop system, DISI, and a number of aerodynamic modifications.

Mazda Kiyora Concept Car Unveiled



Mazda Kiyora concept car has been unveiled at the Paris Auto Show, after its previous announcement at the beginning of September.

Mazda Kiyora concept is powered by a 1.3-litre direct injection petrol engine, and features a extremely rigid and lightweight carbon-fiber body structure. Mazda Kiyora can achieve a CO2 emissions level of under 90g/km.

Mazda Kiyora concept is also equipped with the Smart Idle Stop System (SISS) and a new 6-speed automatic transmission. As had been claimed by the company when develops this concept car, the Mazda Kiyora had three concepts in mind: cleanliness, health and safety.

Mazda Kiyora also premieres the Liquid-Skin Display IP Concept that uses touch-screen technology with tactile feedback.
