Peugeot 908 HDi FAP Hybrid Race Car

Peugeot has revealed a new race car at the final round of the 2008 Le Mans Series at Silverstone. This new race car called Peugeot 908 HDi FAP hybrid that equipped with a hybrid power plant and a kinetic energy recovery system. The recovered energy is stored in 600 lithium-ion cells divided into 10 battery packs.

Peugeot 908 HDi FAP hybrid was presented in a silver-grey livery and previewed what Peugeot’s next endurance racing challenger could resemble. The use of the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP hybrid will depend on the regulations that will govern LMP 1 cars from 2009.

Peugeot 207 Le Mans Special Edition Car

Peugeot 207 Le Mans - a special edition 207 has been launched by the French manufacturer as a tribute to the Peugeot 908 HDi race car.

The Peugeot 207 Le Mans is powered by either a 1.6-litre HDi FAP developing 80 kW (109 hp) or a 1.6-litre THP (Turbo High Pressure) engine with an output of 110 kW (150 hp).

The Peugeot 207 Le Mans 1.6 THP can reach 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. The Peugeot 207 Le Mans 1.6 THP has a 164 g/km Co2 emission level, and its average fuel consumption is 7.0 liters per 100 kilometers.
