Mazda3 MPS Rally Car has been unveiled by Mazda Australia as their latest rally car before its racing debut at Targa Tasmania.
The Mazda3 MPS rally car developing 190 kW and 380 Nm of torque since it is powered by a direct injection 2.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. The engine for Mazda3 MPS rally car is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.
However, this Mazda3 MPS rally car will race in the 2WD Showroom competition travelling 2000 km over five days.

The 2008 Mazda3 Sport has been launched by Mazda in Australia. Powered by a 2.0 liter engine, the 2008 Mazda3 Sport may develops 108 kW and 182 Nm of torque. Mazda2 Extreme, the rally ready car has been unveiled today by Mazda at the 2008 Melbourne Motor Show. Powered by a 1.5-litre Inline four-cylinder S-VT engine, the Mazda2 Extreme may develops 76 kW at 6000 rpm and 137 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.
The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, the engine and the brakes of the Mazda2 Extreme are still under development.
