2009 Honda Civic Hybrid



Honda released today the complete details of the 2009 Honda Civic in both coupe and sedan body styles and of the 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid. The 2009 Honda Civic sedan and coupe is powered by a 1.8 liter in-line 4-cylinder engine that’s good for 140 hp at 6300 rpm and 128 lb.-ft. of torque at 4300 rpm.

The 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid gets its power from a combination between a 1.3-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine and a 15 kilowatt electric motor that together develop 110 hp at 6000 rpm and 123 lb-ft. of torque between 1000 and 2500 rpm.

Visually, the 2009 Honda Civic and it’s Hybrid brother received a new exterior styling, with a new front bumper cover and grille design and new headlight and taillight color combinations.

2009 Acura TL Details Released by Honda



Honda released all the details and photos of the new 2009 Acura TL. With a choice between two engines: a 3.5-liter and a 3.7-liter SOHC VTEC V6, the 3.5 liter 2009 Acura TL outputs 280 hp at 6200 rpm and 254 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm, while the 3.7 liter model develops 305 hp at 6200 rpm and 273 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm.

The 2009 Acura TL engine is coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift, Grade Logic Control, and F1-style paddle shifters. The 2009 Acura TL fuel consumption is estimated to be around 25-26 mpg on the highway, and 17-18 mpg in the city.

Unfortunately, the 2009 Acura TL price has not been announced yet by Honda.

2009 Ford Product and Powertrain Upgrades



Ford has made announcement for the 2009 product and powertrain upgrades for their entire line-up. The line-up for 2009 Ford model includes the new Ford F-150, the new 2009 Ford Flex crossover, the Ford Lincoln MKS, and also the redesigned Ford Escape.

Ford introduces a new 2.5-liter I-4 engine and an upgraded V-6 one to improve the fuel economy of its 2009 models, with new six-speed transmissions and better aerodynamics.

The Ford EcoBoost technology will also debut in 2009, together with Ford’s goal to double its hybrid production.

Other Ford technologies that will debut in 2009 include SYNC with 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report, SIRIUS Travel Link and new Blind Spot Mirror on 2009 Ford Edge.
