Ford has made announcement for the 2009 product and powertrain upgrades for their entire line-up. The line-up for 2009 Ford model includes the new Ford F-150, the new 2009 Ford Flex crossover, the Ford Lincoln MKS, and also the redesigned Ford Escape.
Ford introduces a new 2.5-liter I-4 engine and an upgraded V-6 one to improve the fuel economy of its 2009 models, with new six-speed transmissions and better aerodynamics.
The Ford EcoBoost technology will also debut in 2009, together with Ford’s goal to double its hybrid production.
Other Ford technologies that will debut in 2009 include SYNC with 911 Assist and Vehicle Health Report, SIRIUS Travel Link and new Blind Spot Mirror on 2009 Ford Edge.

Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury models will be equipped with EPS (electric power steering) between 80% and 90% on 2012 as announced by Ford. With this EPS system, the cars will get improvement for the overall fuel economy, performance and reliability of the Ford model line-up.
The Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ will receive EPS next year and the Ford Mustang, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator will be following them in the next three years.

The 2009 Ford Explorer gets a new safety feature (Trailer Sway Control) as announced by Ford. The 2009 Ford Explorer Trailer Sway Control system will works together with the Advance Trac with RSC system and adds extra security in case you need to tow the vehicle.
The 2009 Ford Explorer Trailer Sway Control will use a series of sensors to monitor the vehicle’s body roll-rate and roll angle, along with the yaw rate.
