There’s a new world record past week-end at the Ferrari Leggenda e Passione auction which managed by RM Auctions and Sotheby. The car is a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder that break the record bid with 7,040,000 Euros.

This 7 Million Euro 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder is now property of Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans and his wife golf pro and writer Natasha Shishmanian.

2009 Ford Shelby GT500KR

Ford and Shelby announced they will build 746 units more to be sold as 2009 Ford Shelby GT500KR, after the success of the 40th anniversary Edition Shelby GT500KR “King of the Road” Mustang that was sold in 1,000 units.

Out of those 571 units of the 2009 Ford Shelby GT500KR will be destined for the US market. The 2009 Ford Shelby GT500KR is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine that features a Ford Racing Power Upgrade Pack and develops 540 hp.

Powered by a 6.1-liter HEMI V8 engine, the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 comes with features carbon-fiber-like hood stripes, a HEMI Orange paint, a chrome fuel filler cap and a numbered dash plaque. Dodge and notMYkid have partnered to auction the first production 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8® at the 37th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction to be held Jan. 12-20, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 features the proven 6.1-liter HEMI® V-8 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, a race-inspired interior and an exterior design stays true to Challenger heritage while delivering a host of modern features and technologies and “race inspired, street legal” SRT DNA.

Developed by Chrysler’s in-house performance engineering organization, the 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 was engineered with a focus on the five pillars of every SRT vehicle: bold exterior design that resonates with the brand image, a race-inspired interior, world-class ride and handling across a dynamic range, a standout powertrain and benchmark braking.

Bidders will have the chance to own the car before it is shown to the public. The 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 will make its worldwide debut on Feb. 6 at the Chicago Auto Show.
