Holden has revealed a preview design sketch of its upcoming compact sedan and hatchback model, which will be built in Australia and will be aimed at reducing fuel consumption and emissions.
The new small, front-wheel-drive, four-cylinder vehicle to be built by GM Holden at Elizabeth will be based on General Motors’ global Delta small car platform and feature new technologies to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse emissions.
GM Holden will build an all-new small car in Australia alongside the country’s best-selling Commodore range. The second carline will start in the third quarter of 2010 with support from the Federal and South Australian Governments.

Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG Turbo will be premiered at the Bologna Motorshow. Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG Turbo is the brand’s first turbo-charged CNG Van that offers outstanding driving dynamics.
Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG Turbo reach its top speed at 200 km/h, with power output of 150 hp. Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG Turbo’s fuel consumption is 5.3 kg of natural gas per 100 km in the MVEG cycle and its CO2 emissions level is 144 g/km.
Designed to run on natural gas, bio-methane or any combination of these two, Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG Turbo can go for 370 km with a full tank of gas, while the gasoline tank offers an additional 150 km range.

Proton announced its plans for entering the Indian market with their Proton cars. The Savvy, the Saga and the Persona Proton is the three models that planned to be marketed in India.
All of three Proton models are currently undergoing testing to see how they cope with Indian traffic conditions. However, With its hope to start selling cars in India as early as 2009, Proton announced that it has started negotiations with a local partner for manufacturing and marketing purposes.
