With a four-door format with ’swan wing’ doors, Aston Martin Rapide sports car is built on the VH (Vertical/Horizontal) extruded aluminum architecture.
Aston Martin Rapide sports car is the first Aston Martin’s four-door production sports car which has been previewed in a concept form at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006.
Aston Martin Rapide sports car will be launched for the first time at the end of 2009, but the first unit of this model will be delivered in 2010.

Aston Martin Rapide official image has been revealed on some web. As we both know that the model will compete with the Porsche Panamera. Expected to be launched in fall this year, Aston Martin Rapide will be powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine that may outputs around 480 hp.
Aston Martin Rapide’s engine will be mated to a 6-speed ZF automatic gearbox that equipped with the Touchtronic control from the company. With the engine, Aston Martin Rapide is expected to have a top speed of 180 mph and a 0 to 60 mph sprint time of around 4.5 seconds.
