Holden Small Car Design Sketch

Holden has revealed a preview design sketch of its upcoming compact sedan and hatchback model, which will be built in Australia and will be aimed at reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

The new small, front-wheel-drive, four-cylinder vehicle to be built by GM Holden at Elizabeth will be based on General Motors’ global Delta small car platform and feature new technologies to increase fuel efficiency and reduce greenhouse emissions.

GM Holden will build an all-new small car in Australia alongside the country’s best-selling Commodore range. The second carline will start in the third quarter of 2010 with support from the Federal and South Australian Governments.

2008 Holden Barina

The re-styled 2008 Holden Barina 3-door and 5-door hatch has been unveiled by General Motors. Comes with a new exterior and interior look, the 2008 Holden Barina is powered by a 1.6 liter DOHC multi-point fuel injected engine that develops 76kW at 5800rpm and 145Nm of torque at 3600rpm. If equipped with the automatic gearbox, the 2008 Holden Barina needs 7 liters of fuel to go 100 km with this engine.

The 2008 Holden Barina equipment list includes ABS, Ventilated front disc brakes are standard and alloy wheels.

The 2008 Holden Barina price will starts at $14,490 for the 3-Door Hatch model and the price will goes up to $15,990 for the 5-Door version. Both of the prices are for the Australian market.

Holden Line-Up at Adelaide Motor Show

Holden are ready for the Adelaide Motor Show with their line-up where it will celebrate its 60th Anniversary with Concepts through the Ages.

Holden announced that they will present the Holden concepts at the Adelaide Motor Show including the Holden Coupe 60, the Holden EFIJY, the Holden Torana TT 36, the Holden Marilyn Monaro Convertible, the Holden HRT427, and the Holden Sandman Panel Van.
