With the combination, the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid 2WD offers a fuel economy of 21 mpg and estimated 20 mpg for the 4WD version.
The price of 2WD model 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid with the 1HY package starts at $38,995, While for the 2HY package the price will goes up to $45,130 included with additional navigation radio, a hard tonneau cover, rear parking assist, and leather-trimmed seating.
2009 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid expected available at dealers in early 2009 as the production begins in December 2008.

Chevrolet has launched their fuel economy range of their full-size pickups and SUVs that includes the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado XFE, the 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe XFE, the GMC Sierra XFE and the GMC Yukon XFE.
The Chevrolet and GMC XFE - Xtra Fuel Economy - models are powered by a 5.3L V8 engine coupled with a six-speed transmission and offer a 15 city and 21 highway mileage ratings.
This engine is rated at 320 hp (238 kW) and 340 lb.-ft. of torque (461 Nm) in the Tahoe XFE and the Yukon XFE and at 315 hp/235 kW and 338 lb-ft/458 Nm in the Silverado XFE and the Sierra XFE.
