Honda Li Nian concept car has been launched by Guangzhou Honda Automobile as a new brand and concept car for the Chinese market.
With the concept of Honda Li Nian, that indicates the direction of the new brand that will begin selling the cars in 2010. The Honda Li Nian brand will develop products that are more specific for the Chinese consumers.
According to officials, Li Nian’s (Chinese for ‘subject’) first production car will be based on the sporty hatchback concept, and the concept car will be produced in China.
Both of styling and the engineering design for the Honda Li Nian concept were developed by Guangzhou Honda Automobile RD which was established in 2007.
Honda Li Nian will be based on the same platform used for the current Honda Fit (Jazz) and will feature an efficient 1.8L petrol engine.
