A new generation of the 2013 Lexus RX model has been unveiled by Lexus at the 2012 Geneva International Motor Show. Along with the upgraded engine performance, the 2013 Lexus RX 450h also showcase a freshly new redesigned exterior and interior.
The 2013 Lexus RX 450h is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 Atkinson-cycle engine and three electric motors. The V6 engine is able to generates 245 hp at 6,000 rpm and 234 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm. While the electric motors are used for the front wheels, rear wheels, and also used for a generator (engine starter) that outputs 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) in total.
2013 RX 450h by Lexus has a 29 mpg of fuel consumption. It may accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h (0 – 60 mph) in 7.8 seconds and the maximum speed is rated by Lexus at 200 km/h (124 mph).
For the interior, Lexus has provide their new RX 450h sports car with a re-designed center console, a new steering wheel, and various styling accents.
Sits on 18-inch alloys, Lexus RX 450h also comes with several equipment such as a new front bumper, integrated LED DRLs on headlights, electric power steering, re-styled taillights, Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system, Hill-start Assist Control (HAC) system, Smart Stop Technology, and Pre-Collision System (PCS).
