Today, various online sources reported that the 2009 Peugeot 308 RC Z is going to be a reality. The Peugeot 308 RC Z concept car was unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show this autumn. The Peugeot 308 RC Z is powered by a 1.6 liter engine developing 218 hp, has a top speed of 235 km/h and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 7.0 seconds.
The French manufacturer will bring a production version of the Frankfurt Motor Show concept in around two year’s time. However, the release date of the 2009 Peugeot 308 RC Z depends on the progress of the updates done on the Magna Steyr facilities in Graz. Magna Steyr is updating its production lines in order to accommodate the production of the BMW X1.
