There’s a new world record past week-end at the Ferrari Leggenda e Passione auction which managed by RM Auctions and Sotheby. The car is a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder that break the record bid with 7,040,000 Euros.
This 7 Million Euro 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder is now property of Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans and his wife golf pro and writer Natasha Shishmanian.

Car enthusiasts and Ferrari collectors from across the globe descended on Maranello, Italy this past weekend for RM Auctions’ second annual “Ferrari Leggenda e Passione” event.
On Sunday May 18th, RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, put under the hammer an unrivalled collection of historic Ferraris and Maseratis at the legendary home of the Prancing Horse.
Among the attendees was one extremely well known Ferrari enthusiast, Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans. Chris, accompanied by his wife, golf pro and writer Natasha Shishmanian, attended the Gala reception on Saturday May 18th where he fell for the considerable charms of a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder. The following day, Chris made a successful bid of €7,040,000 for his dream machine, which will now take pride of place in his own celebrated collection.
